2019 · The Beginning

It started with Toro Canyon.

In 2019, we opened the doors of Toro Canyon — a Michael Hsu–designed estate on a quiet acre in Westlake Hills. We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to honor a house, and the families who came to stay in it.

What we learned in those early years became the foundation for everything that followed: that a great stay is built one detail at a time. The temperature of the pool when you arrive. The grocery basics already in the fridge. The note that knows your kids' names.

2021 · Wild Basin Ledge

And then there were two.

Two years later, Wild Basin Ledge came under our care — a hillside estate adjacent to the Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve, with three stories of windows, decks, and views that feel like nowhere else in Austin.

Some guests come for one home. Some return for the other. Some book both. WaterBound is the umbrella that holds them together — a single promise of privacy, design, and considered hospitality across two distinct places.

We live in Westlake Hills, run both properties hands-on, and answer every guest message ourselves. There's no booking desk between you and us — when you reach out, you reach the people who actually manage the homes.

When we're not hosting, you'll find us in the Hill Country, in Big Bend, or somewhere in between — usually with Doc, our Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, ahead of us in the brush. The places we love most are the ones that feel both wide-open and well-cared-for. That's what we try to give every guest who stays with us.
